High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) is a number plate for vehicles introduced by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH) in 2001.

It is made of 1 mm special grade Aluminium and laminated with White / Yellow / Green / Black reflective sheets depending upon the vehicle category and registration type. Characters are embossed with Black foil security inscription hot-stamped over them.

Yes, it is mandatory.

As per Notification G.S.R. 1162(E) dated 4th December 2018 and S.O. 6052(E) dated 6th December 2019 issued by MoRTH, HSRP is mandatory for all vehicles sold on or after 1st April 2019.

Affixation can be done through authorised dealers of vehicle manufacturers in the state. Follow these steps:

1. Visit www.orderyourhsrp.com and click on Book HSRP.
2. Choose your vehicle manufacturer (Yamaha, Honda, Toyota, Force Motors etc.)
3. Fill in basic vehicle details.
4. Choose an authorised dealer location convenient for you.
5. Select date and time slot for fitment.
6. Pay the HSRP fee online.
7. Visit the selected dealer on the appointed date — HSRP will be affixed.

Replacement of a damaged or lost HSRP is feasible. Orders for front-only, rear-only, or a complete set can be booked at www.orderyourhsrp.com.

If the currently affixed number plate does not have a Laser Identification Number (alpha-numeric) etched on the bottom-left side, it is not a genuine HSRP — it is only a look-alike.

You are required to get an authentic HSRP fitted on your vehicle by following the booking process mentioned above.

The Third Registration Plate colour-coded sticker carries the following details:

1. Name of the Registering Authority
2. Registration Number of the Vehicle
3. Laser Branded Permanent Identification Number
4. Date of First Registration of the Vehicle

Yes, you can apply for ONLY STICKER if you already have HSRP installed on your vehicle.

Select the Only Sticker option and provide the unique Laser codes printed on the bottom-left of both your front and rear HSRP plates.

No physical documents are required for booking HSRP online.

Simply visit www.orderyourhsrp.com and follow the instructions. Vehicle data is verified electronically through VAHAN. In case of any discrepancy in the data, you will be notified immediately.

Yes, Home Fitment of HSRP is available.

Simply select the Home Fitment option while applying for HSRP on the portal, and a technician will visit your location on the scheduled date.

HSRP cost depends upon the vehicle make and vehicle class (two-wheeler, car, commercial etc.).

The applicable fee will be displayed automatically during the HSRP ordering process on the portal. No hidden charges.

Rescheduling: Yes, you can reschedule your fitment appointment subject to slot availability. Note that the place of affixation cannot be changed. Visit the portal to re-schedule.

Cancellation: Cancellation is allowed within 4 hours of order placement only. No cancellation is permitted after that window.
